St Anthony Church Newsletter
The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity reminds us that the God whom we adore is “one God in the Trinity” and “Trinity in unity” inviting us to consider that all of our relationships are reflections of that unique and dynamic communion that exists within God — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. By grace, we are constantly being invited to be part of that relationship, to live in the love of God.
In the Mystery of the Most Holy Trinity, God continues to bless us — in the ongoing act of creation, in the freely given gifts of healing and redemption of Christ, and the life-giving Spirit that inspires faith, hope, and love — and invites us to receive the graces and gifts he so freely gives.
Trinity Sunday reminds us that we are called to extend that invitation to others by sharing what we have received.

Volunteers of the Week
Norma McGrath and Lori Imbimbo

Thank you to our Volunteers of the Week, Norma McGrath and Lori Imbimbo.
Norma sewed masks for all our First Holy Communion children and Lori made masks for all our Confirmation students.
The masks were beautifully made and much appreciated by the children and we are very grateful for the time and talents so generously donated to our parish.
Norma has also been active in our Health ministry giving her time for the Blood Pressure Screenings and coordinating our AED-CPR response for the parish. Lori has been active in Seasonal Church Decorating and as a catechist in our Faith Formation program.
Norma and Lori, thank you for all you do for our parish family!

Multi-Parish Raffle
St. Anthony Church is participating in something new this year, a multi-parish raffle.
We have partnered with St. Roch Church in Greenwich, the raffle permit holder, who started this in 2014. We do not incur the expense of prizes, printing, postage, permits or marketing to participate, and will receive 50% of our ticket sales.
Fifteen American Express Gift Cards will be given as prizes!
You will soon be receiving a letter in the mail, with more details, along with 4 raffle tickets at $25.00 each. Checks are payable to St. Anthony Church.
We hope that you will participate in the raffle by purchasing tickets, giving as a gift or selling them to family or friends. Thank you for your anticipated participation!
Volunteers Needed:
  • We are looking for someone to coordinate our Health Ministry. This volunteer should have a health professional background. They are responsible for coordinating the blood pressure screening once they are restarted, hopefully soon.  They also are responsible for our AED devices. This includes regular testing of the device and the certifications for the users. This is an important ministry for the safety and well being of our parishioners so we are hoping that someone will step forward and donate their time and talents to the ministry.
  • Now that our parishioners are returning to Mass on the weekends we need to re-establish the Usher Ministry. Ushers welcome and assist attendees before Mass. They are responsible for the collection of offerings during Mass and properly securing them after Mass. There are occasionally special feast days that require additional assistance.  If you have previously been an usher please let us know you are able to return.
  • For more information on either ministry please email David Byrne, the Volunteer Coordinator or call the parish center 203-758-4056 ext 17.

When shopping Amazon, you can choose to use Amazon Smile* and a percentage of your order will be donated to St. Anthony Church, specifically for the refurbishing of the Church hall.
Click on the photo to get started!
*We encourage supporting local businesses, direct trade and fair trade partners as well as environment considerations when making purchases. If you do choose to use Amazon Smile and you don’t need your item immediately, please don’t choose overnight/rush delivery because this often forces people to work on Sunday.
Labonnes Cash for Charities Rebate Program
  • Please save your Labonne's cash register receipts. (Keep an envelope in your car to easily save them)
  • Every couple of months submit them to St. Anthony Church, via the mail or by dropping them off at the parish center. We will receive 1/2% back.
  • You can put your receipts in the Parish Center mailbox, in the collection boxes or mail them to 4 Union City Rd, Prospect, CT.
  • Thank you to everyone who has been sending in their slips, keep them coming!

Please consider using online giving for your financial support.
