Warm thoughts
Are you stressed? Jittery? If the holidays (and visiting relatives) have made you tense, meditation might help. Go to a quiet room. Lie down. Dissolve into this Yoga Nidra Guided Meditation led by Leslie Carleton of Upper Valley Yoga. "Take a breath in, and with the exhalation feel a sense of serenity and tranquility spreading throughout the body." So good.

Bill McKibben in Norwich
"The last 18 months have been a remarkable reminder of just how badly we've managed to get this planet off-kilter." That's the word from climate expert Bill McKibben of Ripton, VT who stopped by the Norwich Congregational Church for a lecture sponsored by the Norwich Library and the VT Humanities Council.

my_movie.mp4 video art installation
Local artist Charlie Rose presents a debut media arts installation “My_movie.mp4,” a video art experience using internet videos from 2006-2013 which have been corrupted and manipulated to create visual abnormalities. The exhibit explores exposure to the internet as a child. This challenging, often abstract digital collage was created through deleting I-frames and hex bending. This process breaks the videos – like the virtual version of hitting a DVD player with a hammer, creating a pixelated Rorschach test which invites its viewers to create meaning out of contextless image.
