Thanks to the support of ART Agency Inc. and High Point Equipment Ltd., we have two partial "New Talent Scholarships" available for our Summer Theatre Intensive.

The application deadline is June 21.

Summer Theatre Intensive
Our Summer Theatre Intensive runs August 4 to 9 in Kingston at Queen's University.

This year's courses feature training opportunities for creators, performers, directors, and music directors of all experience levels.

Fundamentals of Acting, with Rosanna Saracino - Explore techniques and improve your skills

Devised Theatre for Intersectional Artists, with Sabah Haque - Explore ensemble-building, performance writing, dramaturgy, collective and individual creation, and performance

Playing with Commedia Dell'Arte, with Catriona Leger - Explore foundations of comedy and gain a deeper understanding of physical comedy and characterization

Directions on Directing: An Introductory Look at Directing, with Andrew Lamb - Explore practical tools for the directing process

Digging into Directing, with Lezlie Wade - Explore how to expand your directing skills

Music Direction for Community and Regional Theatre, with Scott White - Explore the process of music direction step-by-step from audition through performance

Annual General Meeting
Join Us at Our Annual General Meeting
As previously announced, we invite the community to join us at our Annual General Meeting on June 12 at 7pm EDT. At the meeting, we will be discussing the significant challenges that Theatre Ontario faces. Some are shared by all of us working in the arts in Ontario in these uncertain times; others are unique to Theatre Ontario’s operations and our ability to sustain our programs and services.

Congratulations to all of our participants at Theatre Ontario Festival 2019. With the leadership of The Curtain Club from Richmond Hill, we had an exciting festival-going experience for everyone.

Kingston's Domino Theatre was awarded the Elsie for Outstanding Production in Festival for their production of John Patrick Shanley's Outside Mullingar.
