RALEIGH, N.C. (Sept. 8, 2025) – Theatre Raleigh has unveiled its 2026 season, a dazzling mix of award-winning Broadway hits, epic site-specific productions and witty comedies, promising a year of unforgettable theatre for Triangle audiences.
“Our 2026 season has it all—epic Broadway blockbusters, a site-specific gothic masterpiece and sparkling comedies for the spooky season and holidays!” said Eric Woodall, Theatre Raleigh’s producing artistic director. “Whether you’re moved by the humanity and soaring showstoppers of 'Come From Away' and 'Dear Evan Hansen,' thrilled by 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' in the historic Vintage Church in downtown Raleigh, or ready to laugh through 'Dracula' and toast the holidays with 'Miss Bennet,' Theatre Raleigh is your home for extraordinary professional theatre all year long.”
Season subscriptions go on sale to current subscribers at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025 and to the general public at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025. Single tickets for all shows will not be available for purchase until March 2, 2026.
Theatre Raleigh is a professional nonprofit theater company recognized for its high-caliber musicals, dramas and concert series featuring exceptional talent. Since 2023, its productions have spotlighted acclaimed stage and screen performers including Ariana DeBose, Julie Benko, Beth Leavel, Kim Zimmer, Rachel Bay Jones, Norm Lewis and Norbert Leo Butz. Broadway stars Carmen Cusack and Nik Walker headlined Theatre Raleigh's production of "Bull Durham, a New Musical," which debuted in Durham last fall. Theatre Raleigh's executive director Lauren Kennedy Brady has Broadway ambitions for the latter show, which is being staged next month at Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey.

April 1-19, 2026 at Theatre Raleigh Arts Center

Dear Evan Hansen
June 3-21, 2026 at Theatre Raleigh Arts Center
The Broadway phenomenon that took the world by storm! With its electrifying score by the Oscar-winning team Pasek and Paul, Dear Evan Hansen tells the story of a high school senior struggling to belong in a world that feels overwhelming. Raw, emotional and unforgettable, this show is a powerful exploration of hope, heartbreak and the courage it takes to be seen.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Aug. 12-15, 2026 at Vintage Church on Moore Square
The sweeping, epic musical based on Victor Hugo’s timeless tale and the beloved Disney film comes to life like never before. Featuring a soaring score by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz, this powerful story of love, acceptance and courage will be staged in the hauntingly beautiful Vintage Church in downtown Raleigh. In partnership with the North Carolina Master Chorale, Theatre Raleigh will create the expansive choir needed for this majestic, site-specific theatrical experience.
Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors
Oct. 21-Nov. 1, 2026 at Theatre Raleigh Arts Center
Just in time for spooky season, Bram Stoker’s classic gets a hilariously ridiculous makeover by writers Gordon Greenberg and Steve Rosen. Packed with clever wit, lightning-fast costume changes and side-splitting twists, Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors is a madcap romp through the world of the undead—where nothing is sacred, everything is up for laughs and the stakes (pun intended) have never been higher.
Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley
Dec. 9-20, 2026 at Theatre Raleigh Arts Center
Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon’s enchanting holiday sequel to Pride and Prejudice. It’s 1815, and the Bennet sisters are gathering at the Darcy estate for Christmas when an unexpected guest sparks new romance, witty banter, and delightful surprises. Full of warmth, wit, and holiday cheer, Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley is the perfect festive treat for Austen lovers and modern-day “rom-com” fans alike.
