May 26 & 28 from 7 - 10 PM

Readers pay a $10 registration fee to participate. Listeners join on the second date of each show to listen in via their computers or smart phones.

Listeners are asked to offer a donation, suggested at $5 for one and $10 for 2 listeners or more. Register as a Reader or Listener here.

Summer is just around the corner! Camp leads Erin Staebell and Anthoney Wooden and a team of instructors are ready to help your kids create!

Due to COVID19 safety concerns AOP is hosting outdoor camps with limited slots and virtual camps this year.

Virtual Camps Recorded with Kits for Anytime Fun -- Session available each month. Kit pick up on June 15, July 15 and August 15.
  • Pottery with kit, Instructor - Liz Reed
  • Mixed Arts with kit, Instructor - Carleigh Flynn
  • Playwriting Online for Youth, Instructor - Erin Staebell

Outdoor 1/2 Day Camps
  • Outdoor Theatre for Youth - Pirates of the Pamlico - 3 Weeks Starting July 13, performance on Aug 1. Replaces Broadway Kids Camps, Director - Erin Staebell
  • Outdoor Mural Camp - week of July 27, 9 AM - Noon - Instructor - Carleigh Flynn
  • Outdoor Movie Camp - aligns with Theatre Camp - Instructor - Jennifer Woolard

Families may pick up loaner or purchase kits for virtual camps, as applicable. Camps are $75 members, $85 non-members for weeklong camps. $200 members and $250 non-members for three week camp.

AOP has teamed up with Val and Arty Jackson to expand options for local yummy concession options at the Turnage Theatre!

A throwback to the original cafe our cafe is decorated with theatre memorabilia and our unique hand-painted cyclorama created during the renovation.

While the roof structure is being erected the galleries will be closed but the theatre Art Cafe' will be open Thursday and Fridays 10 AM - 5 PM and Saturdays 8 AM - 5 PM.

Charleston Guild Member Demos at
Paint Out-side!
June 20, Bath

Registrants may participate in demonstration by Award Winning Charleston Guild and Charleston Collective Member,
Elizabeth Middour. All levels of experience, from first timers to some timers to all the timer painters -- are welcome!

Bring a photo or find your inspiration and spend the day painting
nature, historic structures, flora/fauna and more in
the state's first town! Registration is $10.

Limited registrations align with COVID19 requirements of 25 max.

Stamping of canvases starts at 7:30 AM - 10 AM at the Swindell's Store/Paint Out Check-In Station. Open Air Wet Paint Sale from 3 PM with virtual show option.

Painters vote for the top prize. Painters’ Choice Prize will receive 25% of fees as the prize.
