June 2022 Newsletter
"Far up in the deep blue sky,
Great white clouds are floating by;
All the world is dressed in green;
Many happy birds are seen,
Roses bright and sunshine clear
Show that lovely June is here.”
-F. G. Sanders

Spotlight on...Chris!
Chris stands in front of the ocean. He is wearing a yellow shirt, looking at the camera, and smiling.
This month, we are spotlighting TR program participant, Chris! Here is what Chris shared about himself:

“My favorite TR programs are Drama, Art, UNO Zoom and Drama Zoom. Especially in Art, I love doing exciting, creative projects that I would never do on my own – and they are displayed in an Art Show! I have fun being all the different actors in Drama, especially when I was chosen to be a genie in Aladdin! I like all the programs because they are fun and I meet new friends and staff. On my own, I like to watch the Orioles and Ravens – even when they lose! And I always watch WWE Wrestling on Monday nights and sometimes get to see a Main Event in Baltimore! I also like to read with my Mom and shop for new books I’d like to read. This summer, I can’t wait to go to Ocean City!! I love to play corn hole on the beach, play mini-golf, go to the movies and eat ice cream at Dumser's. I am especially proud of my participation in a training program for teaching policemen and EMS workers about how to talk to and help people with disabilities.”

We love having Chris in our programs. Here is what our staff had to say about Chris:

“Chris is enthusiastic, friendly, humorous, and can get quite competitive on the Bocce field!”

"I love the way Chris makes people feel welcome, his calm personality makes you feel at home.  He always greets people with a warm smile. His sense of humor is his hidden talent."

"Chris always wants to help and doesn’t wait to be asked. If he sees someone with their hands full, he is the first to hold the door for you. He will randomly give you notes with kind messages or hearts just to brighten someone’s day. If you tell him about an important upcoming event in your life he will remember and ask you how the planning is going or how he can help you."

"Chris is always ready to greet you with a smile and a kind message. He’s a joy to have in our programs and doesn’t let Draw 4s or skips in UNO bring him down!"

Thanks for standing in the spotlight, Chris!
