Thank You to Megan Omohundro,

UWTC Chief Development Officer

Dear Friends of United Way of Tompkins County,

With gratitude for over four years’ cumulative service to United Way of Tompkins County, and with great anticipation of the impact she will have as she combines her nonprofit leadership skills with her passion for the arts, I share with you that Megan Omohundro will be departing to lead as Executive Director of Community School of Music and Arts, located in Ithaca, NY.

Please join me in thanking Megan for her years of ebullient service with UWTC. I celebrate that Megan will have the opportunity to combine her leadership and artistic passion and contribute in her new role to the flourishing of our community. She will be deeply missed at UWTC – we are stronger for the joyful connectivity she has fostered during her time with us.

Megan joined the UWTC team in September 2018 as Director of Resource Development and, after a year with Foodnet Meals on Wheels, rejoined us as Chief Development Officer. In her roles she has been a key leader and driven our impact by raising funds of between $1.7 and $2.1 annually. She has also served as a representative of UWTC at Chamber of Commerce and other community events.

Megan shares, “It has been my pleasure to support philanthropic efforts in Tompkins County through United Way. Working alongside staff, volunteers, donors, local partners, and corporations has been the highlight of my career. My ‘heart smiles’ with gratitude and appreciation to everyone who has supported mobilizing resources to help people live the life they want to lead. In my new role, I look forward to continued and creative collaboration with the arts sector.”

Megan’s last day with UWTC will be January 26, 2024. Please join us in congratulating and supporting Megan in her new leadership role with CSMA.
