There is More!
Hi friends,

Just before Jesus ascended, he instructed his followers to prepare themselves for something more. So for the next ten days, leading up to Pentecost, they did just that, meeting to pray and worship.

This year we’re following their lead, using the ten days before Pentecost (May 31) to pray, and to let the Lord prepare us for whatever “more” of the Holy Spirit he would give. To help you in your preparation we have prepared daily resources: a video testimony, a brief Bible study, and a couple of songs. Use any or all of it that you find helpful.

And may we together discover what more the Lord has for us on Pentecost!

Blessings, Keith

Something More: Matthew 3:13-17
Jesus came to be baptized by John the Baptist for many reasons.  One was that he wanted to expand the impact of John’s baptism in several ways, including to make it a moment for sealing to us the promise of the Holy Spirit in our lives.  And so as the Spirit came upon Jesus, Jesus demonstrated what he would bring to us – the same Spirit!

How has God fulfilled that promise to you thus far?  What facet of the Spirit’s presence and power do you yearn for more?

Pray today about the freedom the Spirit has to fill out the full promise of his presence and power in you.  Ask God to show you any attitude or habit in your heart that works against him.  Then pray for the promise of the Spirit, who was sealed to you in baptism, to be filled out yet more.
