Give Attendees a Sense of  Home
Create a Warm Environment  for your Next Event

What comes to mind when you think of home? Dorothy longed to go home. Why? Because home is where the heart is.  There is no place like home.

People long for the comforts of home. How can you bring home to your next corporate events?

There are a number of elements that you can incorporate into the look and feel of your event that provide that sense of peace and trust. When people are comfortable they are more open to changes in business ideas and direction, team building, and corporate loyalty. Companies with high marks in employee morale are more profitable and attract the best in employees and customers!

Color

The use of color is a great way to infuse your next event with continuity and comfort. When we designed exhibit booths for the annual Avon corporate conference, we utilized a specific color palette that was pleasing to the eye as well as consistent throughout the room.

Check out the time-lapse video of building this event, from start to finish. Notice the warm colors, the bright graphic images and a room layout that promotes easy navigation.

Incorporating graphics depicting your company products and brand messaging in an eye-catching, easy-to-digest format helps create a warm and inviting environment.

Comforts of Home

In an article outlining the top 100 trends for corporate events in 2019, creating a sense of place is one of the top listed. The author suggests the following:

    • Select music that makes them feel at home. Music anchors emotion and can be nostalgic so use it to set the scene and control energy levels.
    • Use voice assistants. This tech is everywhere and most of us are used to it. If your attendees have to go without voice assistance, they will notice and (likely) complain. It's becoming a part of daily life.
    • Feed them like they're at home or better. A lot of attendees are doing Whole30 and Paleo diets. Some people are vegan. Others have a gluten intolerance. Providing a variety of food choices will make them feel more at home and as if you have their best interest in mind.
Flooring

There is nothing more boring, than the standard flooring in a convention hall. Rather than thoughts of home, the traditional venue flooring reminds us of schools or hospitals or any other buildings that uses institutional-grade flooring.

The advances in event flooring has been phenomenal. Not only are unique materials, textures and colors available, you are now able to customize the flooring to feature your company logo, messages and to designate specific areas of the room.

Technology has also entered the game with flooring. It is now possible to install flooring that has the capability of tracking foot traffic, time spent, directional patterns and more.

Rest Your Weary Bones

" Give me your tired, your poor, Your  huddled masses yearning to breathe free." The Statue of Liberty understands Attending a corporate event can be exhausting.

That is why incorporating conversational areas for learning, networking and negotiating can be a great way of providing a sense of home while also being conducive to productive work.

Additionally, the inclusion of event charging stations provides the opportunity for attendees to gather, sales teams to demonstrate the latest and greatest product offerings and a provides a -place to display brochures and marketing collateral.
