| | Coming together to use our collective influence strengthens the relationships between our private and public leaders, with the goal of fostering economic growth and prosperity throughout the Toledo region. | | Advocacy in Action - I-475/20A Interchange Opening | | | | On August 4, the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce celebrated with regional partners the opening of the new I-475/20A interchange. This is new interchange is more than just steel, concrete, and asphalt – it is about opportunity and investment in our community. The Chamber successfully advocated for local and state funding to make this $100M+ project possible. | | |
Our region’s highway infrastructure is enhanced by providing better access to Maumee, Monclova, and the Eugene F. Kranz Toledo Express Airport. This access means increased opportunities for economic development along and near the 20A corridor for companies that need highway access to efficiently move goods and materials.
“Our members told us the better highway access from 20A is important to their success – and we listened” said Brian Dicken (pictured center), the Chamber’s vice president for advocacy and strategic initiatives. “By engaging our members and working with regional partners, we’re pleased to have played a role in making this project a reality for our community.”
The additional interchange is also expected to help alleviate traffic congestion, promote smoother travel for commuters and businesses, and facilitate easier access to local attractions and amenities.
The Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce plays a pivotal role in such infrastructure projects by advocating for their development and ensuring they align with regional economic goals. This interchange reflects the Chamber's commitment to fostering economic growth and improving the quality of life for residents in the Toledo region.
