Greetings!

We are honored to announce this year's Keynote Speaker: Dr. John Curatola.

John Curatola is the Samuel Zemurray Stone Senior Historian at the Jenny Craig Institute for the Study of War and Democracy at the National WWII Museum. A Marine Corps officer for 22 years and veteran of operations in Somalia, Iraq, and the 2005 Indian Ocean tsunami relief effort, he holds master’s degrees in American and military history and earned his PhD from the University of Kansas. His research focuses on World War II, airpower, and the early Cold War. Previously, he taught at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth. Curatola is the author of Bigger Bombs for a Brighter Tomorrow, Autumn of Our Discontent, and Armies Afloat, and his work has appeared in books, journals, and media outlets, including the History Channel, A+E Networks, C-SPAN, and YouTube.

Registration is just $25 per person—whether you attend for one day or the entire symposium! Your registration includes:

Continental breakfast each day
Catered lunch on Friday and Saturday
Two Receptions! (1) a catered reception at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum and (2) Pizza party, bowling and games at the Wabash Cannon Bowl in the K-State Student Union
Transportation from Manhattan to Abilene and back (space available)
A purple conference bag stuffed with all the goodies we can find
The Friday Night Pub Crawl is free to join, however, participants are responsible for purchasing their own food and beverages. We like to think we offer a lot for your money — but even we have our limits!

READY TO ROLL

We’ve reserved a comfortable 54-passenger bus to transport attendees from K-State to Abilene and back. Seating is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot when you register. Leave the driving and parking to us and enjoy traveling with fellow symposium participants.
