New Rules on Trash Placement from DSNY | |
Effective on Saturday, April 1, 2023, there are new rules for businesses in NYC regarding putting trash out for pickup by their private carter. According to the new rules, a business must either place waste out after 8:00 PM if putting bags directly on the curb or place waste out one hour before closing in a secure container. DCWP Notice of Adoption on Space Heaters | |
The Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) is adding rules to implement Local Law 64 of 2022, which will go into effect on March 3, 2023. This rule adds a penalty schedule for violations related to the sale of certain electric space heaters. Customers in all tax classes and with any amount of water bill debt are eligible, which means that nearly 1 in 4 customers may be able to benefit. The Amnesty Program will offer customers up to 100% forgiveness of accrued interest if they pay all or part of their outstanding debt and enter into a payment agreement.
