IT'S NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK!
Happy National Library Week to all!

Most people know about the wealth of stories available at the library, from picture books and large print to audiobooks and ebooks. But there's so much more to the story.

Did you know that RCPL has a Seed Library and Honey Bees on the roof of the Downtown Library? How about community art experiences and a regular booth at the Farmer's Market? Have you used our free Museum Passes service, or visited our drop in Makerspace sewing sessions?

At the Redwood City Public Library, our programming brings the community together for entertainment, education, and connection through book clubs, storytimes, lectures, concerts, Makerspace workshops and more.

In addition, our library advances communities, providing internet and technology access, teen spaces, literacy support, and support for job seekers and students.
As part of National Library Week, Tuesday, April 25 is National Library Workers' Day! This is a time to recognize the exceptional contributions made by our staff. Whether they're shelving books or recommending them, hosting our events or cleaning up afterwards, each of our employees plays a critical role in keeping our library running and connecting you with the materials, programs, and services you love. Our library works because they do, so please join us in celebrating them! You can nominate a stellar library worker here, tell us about a great interaction on our feedback form, or express your appreciation the next time you visit.

If you haven't visited Redwood City Public Library lately, you're missing the full story. Stop by to celebrate with us during National Library Week, April 23-29!
SUPPORT THE FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY
In celebration of National Library Week, support the Friends of the Redwood City Public Library by shopping at the Downtown Library Bookstore and the Book Kiosk at the Redwood Shores Branch Library. Friends always have unbeatable deals on high quality items. You can also support the Friends by bringing your new or gently used donations to the May 20 Material Donation Event, taking place from 10am-12pm behind the Downtown Library. Last but not least, on Tuesday, National Library Workers Day, stop by the Bookstore and thank one of our volunteers. Friends are an entirely volunteer-run organization that works tirelessly to raise funds for RCPL's programs. Thank you Friends!
