Older camp residents enjoy their special day

The International Day of Older Persons, a day designated by the UN, focused this year on taking a stand against ageism.  To observe this day,  OBAT's team in  Chittagong   arranged a program for twenty-three people aged  60+  or older.  The program was arranged at the  Spicy Restaurant in Halishahar, Chittagong and included a lunch. The attendees belonged to various camps in SB Nagar, Ferozeshah and Halishaher and shared their invaluable life experiences with each other and the OBAT team. Each person was presented with a prayer rug as a gift.  They also recited Hamds, Naats (hymns) and poetry.
