From the NC Synod Immigration & Refugee Ministry Team

October 2022

A Special Invitation for You & Your Congregation

Hello!

You are receiving this email as someone who has engaged with and/or expressed an interest in the NC Synod Bishop's Challenge which encourages congregations to embrace the gospel call to welcome the stranger. The goal is for 70% of the synod's 190 congregations to engage in refugee resettlement efforts by December 2023.

The NC Synod's Immigration & Refugee Ministry Team is excited to invite you to participate in our 2022 Fall Book Study on They Are Us: Lutherans and Immigration!

They Are Us offers “a thoughtful and timely look at the Christian calling to Welcome the Stranger” and compliments the work of congregations engaging in the Bishop’s Challenge!

All are welcome to participate, there are no prerequisites for registration. This study is for anyone with curiosity for better understanding the work of welcoming the stranger, no matter whether you can attend every session or not.
