There are 7 days in a week, 7  colors of the rainbow, 7 notes on the musical scale, 7 seas, 7 continents...and on October 15, 2016, Medley Inc. proudly celebrated 7 years of delighting the world!

We're grateful for everyone who has been a part of this journey so far, and rest assured, we're just getting started!

While we may be in the last quarter of the year, there is still plenty to look forward to in 2016; from continuing the fight against Breast Cancer with The Rose, to celebrating 70 student authors and illustrators from across the nation, to dazzling year end events.

Let's make the next few months the most delightful yet!

There's Still Time To Sip, Shop, and
Save A Life with The Rose

(Behind the scenes at Great Day Houston)

We still have a few days left in October, which means you still have time to sip, shop, and save a life by supporting local non-profit, The Rose, and visiting their partners.
SIP with Rudy's Country Store and Bar-B-Q. Rudy's patrons who donate a dollar or more to The Rose during the month of October will receive a complimentary drink coupon and a free, pink, limited edition Rudy's Cup for a Cause.
Harness the power of pink when you SHOP Lamik Beauty's Rose Lipstick-a special shade created in honor of The Rose. Also, shop beautiful jewels from Brighton Collectibles. A percentage of sales from their Power of Pink collection goes to The Rose.
Sip and Shop participants help further the mission of The Rose-offering women quality breast health care, regardless of a woman's ability to pay. When you sip and shop at these partners of The Rose, you save a life!

The Rose Sip and Shop Campaign was featured on Great Day Houston with Deborah Duncan. Watch the interview here.

WALIPP Breaks Fundraising Record!

The William A. Lawson Institute for Peace and Prosperity (WALIPP) seeks to bridge the gap between the powerful and the powerless in the Houston community.
On October 1, 2016, the institute held its 2nd Annual Real Role Models Gala at the University of Houston Hilton Hotel.

The event celebrated 20 years of WALIPP's work and community engagement. Attendees and Honorees were treated to dinner and a performance by Ken Gayle.
All proceeds from the gala benefitted Lawson Academy-WALIPP's single-gender public charter school.

7 Ways To Make Your Instagram Account More Impressive

Instagram rolled out an algorithm change this past summer that shifted the way posts show up in our image feeds. Instagram now shows us updates it think we're most interested in.

The key to remaining relevant and reaching your audience is to post high-quality content that your followers will want to engage with.

Here's how:

#1: Share fun behind-the-scenes photos - Give your audience insight into your upbeat personality.

#2: Post re-grams of user-generated content - Social media is a two-way communication channel, relevant re-grams show your interest in your audience.

#3: Make video posts - If a picture is worth a 1000 words, then video is priceless!

#4: Introduce contest and giveaway through posts - Use Instagram to give your latest campaigns a boost.

#5: Share current event posts - What current event topics currently affect you? Share your perspective.

#6: Tell memorable (fun-inspiring-touching) customer/patron stories - These stories work as reliable first-person referrals. Witty or thoughtful captions that are authentic evoke emotional reaction and are great for driving engagement.

Avery, The Summer Intern: My Time At Medley Inc.
A lot of students in college and high school spend time looking for the perfect internship. The issue? They almost always get stuck working unpredictable hours where they do little more than organize papers, make copies, and fetch coffee if they are lucky. The result is usually an addition to their resume, maybe a good, generic, recommendation, but no personal touch, or gained experience of valuable skills.
That's not what it's like at Medley. At Medley I received personal attention and my coworkers gave me specialized assignments that accommodated all the things I wanted to learn about the PR Industry. This internship opportunity was amazing! I was treated with the same respect as a valued employee. Interning with Medley gave me the chance to learn, and experience an in-depth introduction to the PR industr y.

Thanks for having me Medley, Inc.
