Future 5 Volunteer Honored in New Canaan

Jim Fox was honored by The New Canaan Community Foundation for his outstanding work as a Future 5 Volunteer. Jim's a great example of the critical role our coaches play. In his own words, Jim is the kind of guy who likes to "dig in." He began as a "Here to There" and Job Prep coach, and now plays a central role in developing our "Next Track" program, helping to coach students who are on pathways other than college, including trade school, the military or certificate programs.

Additionally, Jim is a valued member of our Advisory Board and supports the Future 5 Development team. No wonder he was named "Hands-on MVP"!

Pickleball America will host the 2nd Annual Future 5 "Pickle for a Purpose" Pickleball Tournament with the proceeds benefiting Future 5! Join us on Saturday, June 7th from 3-6 pm at one of the largest indoor pickleball venues in the US. It's a Round Robin Tournament (3.0-4.0) and all players are welcome. Other event activities include Pickleball-themed carnival games, silent auction, and an after party with awards for our winners! Many thanks to our sponsors Pickleball America, Deloitte and Reckson.

Coastal Cleanup: Future 5 Students in the Community

Future 5 "Helping Hands" student members rolled up their sleeves for a coastal cleanup at Cove Island Park with local partner, Soundwaters. As part of our commitment to preserving the environment, students spent the day collecting debris and helping to restore the beauty of our shoreline. With gloves, bags and determination, they jumped right in alongside local residents to see firsthand the difference a united effort can make. The experience went beyond cleaning up -- it was about caring for our community, protecting local wildlife, and taking pride in protecting the outdoor spaces we share.

Future 5 connects motivated, under-resourced students in Stamford to the people and resources they need to achieve their educational, career and life goals.
