Happy Chinese New Year! We're now entering the Year of the Wood Horse. After a long cycle of chaos and cleansing this is the start of a new chapter where you can set off with enthusiasm and vision.
It's going to be important to pace yourself and be flexible as you explore new avenues and allow a more authentic truth to emerge about how to go forward in your life. If you know you're prone to burnout you might consider Vervain Bach flower essence or Leo-Sun essence blend which both help to keep fire energy under control.
If you tend to take your responsibilities very seriously and have a strong preference for structure which means that you dislike apparent chaos and find it hard to consider new options, you could try Flexibility & Tolerance essence. This is imprinted with trees, animals and flowers that help to dissolve that pattern. It was a blend I created when I was stuck in resistance and it was a real game-changer!
For those of you who feel your resistance is only a passing phase in reaction to temporary factors then the Bach flower remedy Oak would be useful. The Transformation and Planetary blends I've mentioned above tend to go much deeper into the karmic and cellular level origins of unhelpful patterning.

In this twenty minute interview with Oprah he explains why mindfulness is key to happiness. Towards the end of the video he also gives the four mantras to use in your relationships. Saying the first two to each other will bring instant happiness, the fourth is harder and is one to use when you're hurt to the point that you want to withdraw.

Our Return to the Light - Barbara Wren - Alternatives Workshop

I loved Barbara's first book Cellular Awakening and have just finished her second - Our Return to the Light. It includes the cleansing and rebalancing techniques from the first book and speaks more in layman's terms about the kind of nutrition that allow you to absorb and radiate the most light. If you're not into science you'll probably enjoy Part 2 - Enlightenment the most. She has this to say about the practice of blessing your food:
 'There are two things that we can affect in blessing our food. The first is that we can strengthen our connection with it. If we place our palms, which emit our personal energy very strongly, over the food, then we introduce our personal energy to it before we eat it; it gets a preview of us, if you like. This brings our resonance and that of the food into greater harmony.
Second, it has been found that blessing water reduces its surface tension, so that it moves more smoothly. So, as food is largely made up of water, blessing food enables it to move more freely as well, and this is in line with the purpose of healing, to stop stagnation and create freedom and movement. Water that has been blessed becomes more oxygenated too, as the levels of hydrogen peroxide increase. So in blessing our food, we align our energies with it and increase its movement and oxygen content.'
Magnetised Water - Interestingly, when water is magnetised, as happens with Nikken Water and Shower systems its surface tension is reduced, making it easy to absorb and allowing it to uptake more oxygen. When we give hands on healing to someone we're actually transmitting magnetic field. Indeed the French word for a healer is 'magn�tiseur'. That's why it's so important to ground yourself when you give healing. You need to be plugged in to the Earth's magnetic grid.
