Two alumnae share their their long-term academic goals in Lehman News. Arlene Batista '23 is a Fulbright recipient and will be going to Mexico City to teach, and Ogo Ononiwu '22, a Fulbright finalist, is working on her next goal–applying for graduate fellowships.

Wonderful Alumni at NYBG

A collaboration between Lehman Stages and the New York Botanical Garden places Lehman theatre program alumni in the fantastical world of Wonderland. Each weekend this month, Alexa Downing '23 and Wilson Hernandez '24 play Cheshire Cat and White Rabbit in NYBG’s Wonderland: Curious Nature exhibit.

Honoring Law Enforcement Leadership

Assistant Director of Public Safety Lieutenant Alan Orozco is now a member of the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association after graduating from the highly selective Mid-Atlantic Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar program (MALEEDS) held at Princeton University. Alan was selected by CUNY and the FBI's New York City Office for the program.

In Memoriam

Dr. Ruth laughs while speaking at commencement

Ruth K. Westheimer, who passed away on July 12 at age 96, was not only a cultural changemaker and the nation’s best-known sex educator—she was also a professor at Lehman College. Lehman remembers Dr. Ruth.
