Deadline for 2014-2015 OSAP application June 30th! 
Just a reminder that the 2014-2015 OSAP application is available online at https://osap.gov.on.ca


Students who need or want to use OSAP to pay their fees for this upcoming September must complete the online application by June 30th and have all supporting documentation submitted by July 15th. 


Hints when applying under the full-time program: 
  • You will need your Ontario Access Number (OAN) and your password
    • If you have forgotten your OAN or your password, you have the ability to retrieve both from the OSAP website
    • Alternatively, if you cannot access from the website, you may come into Student Financial Services at King's with your SIN card and your valid government-issued photo ID. We can retrieve your OAN and/or issue a temporary password. However, please try the self-retrieval option first.
  • If this is your first time applying, you will select "The University of Western Ontario" as your institution and King's University College as your campus and program.

English 3998E: Creative Writing course open to King's students from all programs 
Do you like writing fiction, poetry, drama or creative non-fiction? Enrol in English 3998E to workshop your creative work and to reflect critically on the work of your peers. 
Limited to 20 students chosen by the instructors based on samples of creative work.
To enrol this fall, submit 4-8 pages of your writing in any genre to the Faculty Secretaries' Office (DL 210) by July 30th, 2014. Address the package to Prof. Therese Khimasia, and mark it "Sample for Creative Writing Application." If you wish to submit your work electronically, email it in Word format to tkhimasi@uwo.ca. Include your student number, email and mailing addresses, and telephone number, so we can contact you if your application is successful. 
NOTE: you cannot enrol in this course on your own. We will pre-enrol you, so keep your Thursday mornings from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. open on your timetable for fall 2014.

King's alumna shares experience at Canadian Battlefields in Europe

Brazilian students arrive at King's for 3-week summer program


King's welcomed 31 students from Brazil for the Canadian Summer Experience program. The students, along with two chaperones, are living on campus residence, and will take English language classes and participate in art, photography and theatre classes. As well, they will participate in a Model UN and they will travel to local sites including Pinery Provincial Park, Fanshawe Pioneer Village, Niagara Falls and Toronto over the next three weeks. King's will also host a Brazilian World Cup soccer match screening party.


The students attend Collegio Santo Antonio and Collegio Sagrado Coraco de Jues in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. 


King's welcomes students from India 


King's has been home to 18 students and 2 faculty from Sharda University, Greater Noida, Delhi, India over the past month. The visiting students have been participating in Global Commerce: Academic & Experiential Program in International Business (non-credit) which includes lectures by King's faculty and local business leaders as well as tours of business and industrial sites in our area. The London Economic Development Corporation has been the host of the business and industrial site visits.
