On stage at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey to 8/18
The play is a romantic comedy and so much more. Set in rural, dust-bowl America, it is about a parched land desperate for rain, and the tough but lonely people who live there, thirsting for love.
Canal Day Music and Craft Festival 8/24
An old time country fair that celebrates the Morris Canal and its contributions to the development of the communities along its banks. Music, kayak rides, traveling zoo and 150 craft and art vendors, food, fireworks and more.

Musical Offerings:
Chester Music Festival 8/10
Free in Chester on Saturday, with a rain date of Sunday. Two main stages. Music on Main Street, Perry and Grove Streets from 11 am to 5 pm.

Morristown Jazz and Blues Festival 8/17 - FREE
Jazz at noon, then Blues at 6 pm to 10 pm. Check the schedule at their website for the complete line-up, and come to the Morristown Green for the ninth annual Mayor's music fest. FREE

At Jockey Hollow Visitors Center

Visit Morristown NHP’s Jockey Hollow Visitor Center to view the most recent edition of the “Ingenuity in the Face of Adversity” art collection, a partnership with the International Fiber Collaborative. The artwork was created by 441 students from 20 different schools who worked jointly within their school to depict their understanding of “adversity.” The paintings on canvas portray everything from the soldiers’ experiences in 1779-1780 to adversity issues faced today. “Ingenuity in the Face of Adversity” will be on display until September 4, 2019.
