An Update from us on Frost
Don't worry if your lawn develops some brown spots!
  • Now that we have experienced our first frost you might notice that some spots in your lawn are turning brown. Do not worry! This is normal.
  • If your lawn has some crabgrass and bermuda in it you will find that these areas are browning out due to the colder weather.
  • You may also notice the same happen with your shrubs, again no need to worry!
  • The frost will cause some browning but as long as you leave the plants alone and do not prune until the warmer months return your shrubs should make a nice comeback.
We can help get rid of your problem grasses during this cold time!
  • You may have heard us tell you in the warmer months that the only solution to get rid of Bermuda/crabgrass is to kill it out and re-sod the area.
  • However, during this time of year we get assisted by the frost so we can help your grass begin to take over instead of the crabgrass and bermuda taking over.
  • This also allows for grass to fill in and gain ground on the spots of bermuda and crabgrass instead of needing the spots to be resodded.
