A Week of Thinkin' Bikes
Last week was a wonderful week of Thinkin’ Bikes, as the City’s FC Moves Department brought the ThinkBike Workshop to Fort Collins—all the way from the Netherlands. Naturally, given BFC’s vision for Fort Collins to be the Amsterdam of the U.S. when it comes to cycling, we couldn’t have been more excited.
April's RAT Ride Includes Special Guests
Our first RAT Ride of the year coincided with the ThinkBike Workshop. And we were fortunate to be joined by the Dutch mobility experts and FHWA representative who were all in town for the workshop. For this month's intersection/facility focus we look at the intersection of South Shields Street and West Laurel Street. Do you feel safe navigating this intersection? Have you experienced conflict or confusion here? Please take the survey, your voice matters!

You Know Me. I Ride a Bike. - John Yeast
To know Tour de Fat is to love it. The spectacle, the merrymaking, the day-long festival are two things that Fort Collins adores—bikes and beer, well three things if you include music. John Yeast of New Belgium Brewing is the man behind the scenes who makes it all happen, and you know what? Yep, he rides a bike. READ MORE
Eligible FoCo Residents Can Apply for E-Bikes or Spin Passes
City residents who meet income qualifications may be eligible to receive an electric bike or a pass for Spin e-scooters and e-bikes, thanks to a grant from the Colorado Energy Office.

The grant will allow up to 40 individuals to use the City’s “Choose Your Ride, Shift Your Ride” program. Participants must be income eligible (80% of the area median income), and transportation needs will be considered. READ MORE

National Bike & Roll to School Day
Wednesday, May 3rd

Strap on your helmet and tuck in your shoelaces, National Bike & Roll to School Day is May 3, 2023.

As partners in the City's Safe Routes to School program, we encourage students to celebrate the joy of active commuting while building a sense of community and school spirit by bicycling or rolling to school. READ MORE
Pedego Fort Collins New Location Grand Opening Event
Saturday, May 6th, 12pm - 3pm

Join Pedego for a FREE fun-filled day celebrating their new location! (2925 South College Avenue Unit 11) Be sure to bring your bike with you for a group ride around Fort Collins.

Food and drinks will be served for you to enjoy while you're mingling with new friends. They'll be giving away fun swag for everyone that attends. There's also opportunity to enter to win a new Pedego electric bike!

Ride of Silence 2023
Wednesday, May 17th

The third Wednesday of May (the 17th) is fast approaching, which means it's time for the Ride of Silence. Plan to join us that evening on a casual paced, no-drop ride that will visit the sites of the two bicycle fatalities we've had in 2023.

Gilded Goat Brewing - Old Town

Join us on the 3rd Thursday of each month for our monthly happy hour. Starting at 5:30 p.m. at Gilded Goat Brewing - Old Town located at 132 W. Mountain Avenue. It's an evening of BFC camaraderie! And get a $1 off your first beer!

Open Streets 2023
Sunday, June 4th

At Open Streets, participants can expect 1-2 miles of car-free, family-friendly streets. Participants are encouraged to Ride the Route and explore areas called “Activity Hubs”- temporary clusters of activity provided by local businesses and organizations. Open Streets routes are generally considered walkable and bikeable, and include attractive neighborhood elements such as parks and other key destinations like churches, schools, and commercial centers. Summer Bike to Work (or Wherever) Day 2023
Wednesday, June 28th

Some have described it as "Fort Collins' best holiday". Others love the celebration of people who ride bicycles. During BT(W)D, community members are encouraged to travel by bike wherever they're headed, be it work, errands, to drop kids to daycare, or just for fun. Participants who ditch the car in favor of a bicycle can find free breakfast located all around Fort Collins. READ MORE

Bike Prom 2023

This is the premier hijinks and hooligans event of the year for Bike Fort Collins! With special thanks to FoCo Bike Mob, Bike Prom 2023 promises to once again be loud and proud. Stay tuned for more information, but in the meantime SAVE THE DATE!
