Dear Friends,

Thank you to the districts across the state that participated in School Priority Month.  This event takes place every two years prior to the November elections and we look for it to grow larger in two years when we do it again.  We must continue to build relationships with our local, county and statewide elected officials.  Invite them to your districts, to your administrative meetings, to your school assemblies!  The more they see our students and all the great things they are doing, the harder it will be for them to do things that harm our public schools. With the conclusion of the elections the sense of urgency will increase to "share all of the good things happening in Texas public schools".

The  2018 Friends of Texas Public Schools Gala  is scheduled for December 5 th .  The Gala is returning to McLane Stadium on the campus of Baylor University.  We will be recognizing three wonderful and very deserving people and are expecting close to 500 people to attend.  I hope you will make plans to be there.

In closing, as THANKSgiving approaches, I hope everyone will make the time to share with others how much you appreciate them and be THANKful for our challenges and our blessings!

THANK you!
