This post will support two streams of work. Firstly supporting individuals into volunteering roles with a particular emphasis on one to one support for those struggling to navigate or secure a role through more traditional pathways. Secondly it will support volunteer involving organisations (VIOs) in the planning development and promotion of their volunteering programmes and roles.
Starting Salary: £24,718.96

Development Officer
(Community Payback Orders)
The post will lead on engaging more third sector organisations to support and host Community Payback Orders (CPOs)– community sentences – though the provision of information, toolkits and 1-1 guidance and training for organisations. The post will also support the ongoing development of the understanding of community justice within Highland and the importance of the role within rehabilitation and prevention that the third sector have.
Starting Salary: £24,718 (Pro Rata)

The post holder will support the Inner Moray Firth Services Team with a wide variety of key administrative tasks. These will include data entry, processing records, events planning and practicalities, as well as responding to telephone and email enquiries.

Cafe Assistant Worker
The post holder will be a responsible and reliable individual, with a key interest in supporting the social focus of the Café. They will provide a friendly face to café clients, regardless of their reason for coming to the café, supporting paying customers, those seeking support from donated meals or through the community food cupboard.

Information Management Volunteer
Ensuring that we keep accurate information on services, events and projects throughout the Third Sector (charities, community groups, social enterprises etc.) helps ensure that we can support the signposting and referral processes across various services in Highland.
The role will form a key part of supporting the maintenance of information by regularly contacting groups and checking information is accurate, compiling that and supporting the distribution of accurate information to organisations for use when supporting people.

Inverness Badenoch and Strathspey Citiznens Advice Bureau
Housing Adviser
We would be interested to hear from applicants who have experience of providing advice, ideally in housing and homeless law but are also interested to hear from people who can evidence similar transferrable skills. The person will be expected to provide advice to clients to meet National Standards in Advice in Housing Level II /III if not immediately within a reasonable time.
The post specialises in housing and homeless advice and will complement our existing teams and work with other advisers in relation to housing, money advice, welfare benefits, immigration law and many others areas. You will work as part of a supportive team ensuring our clients receive a holistic service enabling them to exercise their rights and access the benefits and services they are entitled to.
Salary: £24,884 to £27,187 per annum (pro-rata) Normally appointed at start of this scale.

Badenoch and Strathspey Therapy Gardens
Project Manager
The post holder will be responsible for leading Badenoch and Strathspey Therapy Gardens’ (The Therapy Garden) project work, undertaking sessions in the Growing Spaces within the Am Fasgadh allotments, in the Glen and Wade Centres and at the Badenoch and Strathspey Community Hospital and Health Care Centre Therapy Garden.
The project aims to provide social and therapeutic horticulture to the different groups of service users who will have sessions in the Garden/s Growing Spaces or Day Centres. These groups will be trainees and service users from Caberfeidh Horizons in Kingussie, and supported housing in Aviemore, older people at Day Care and Residential Care Centres, and people from the local communities who benefit physically and mentally.
Salary: £14 - £15 per hour (Sessional rate)
