HTSI Vacancies


The post holder will be a senior development officer leading a series of new activities and areas of development for HTSI around their strategic ambitions. They will work closely and directly with the Chief Officer and the Senior Development Officer for the Digital and Membership Team to deliver the wider range of regionally based and driven responsibilities of the organisations and its TSI functions. As part of their individual role they will work with a range of partners and stakeholders and must be confident in building relationships and networks across sectors. They will lead on activities specifically related, but not restricted to, employability, training, political engagement and mentoring. Together with the HTSI CO, they will consider how the overall performance of the organisation is managed and ensure delivery of the annual operating plan.

Salary: £25,614, progressing to £28,895

The post holder will be responsible for raising awareness of the benefits of Green Health in Highland and supporting the work of the Partnership. The aim will be to increase public, and organisational, engagement to help tackle health inequalities by improving understanding of the health benefits of connection with nature, and the opportunities available to individuals. This will involve a range of tasks around the scheduling of key messaging across various media channels, maintaining the Think Health Think Nature website and directory, managing the generic e-mail account and the development of campaigns. This post is hosted and administered by the Highland Third Sector Interface on behalf of the Highland Green Health Partnership. The post holder will be an employee of HTSI.

The post will provide a person-centred service that is responsive to individual aspirations and needs of people coming through the custody centre and who want to engage with the project as a method of reducing their chances of returning to custody in the future. They will help the individual to identify issues which have or could lead them to offend, their life aspirations and hopes, and agree a plan of action to work on achieving those aspirations and reduce the chances of offending in future. The post holder will help to identify any barriers and will explore options to address these barriers with the individuals. The role will also have responsibility for providing a similar service to individuals who access support through Café 1668 on Church Street. This will involve working and forming close relationships across the two functional areas of HTSI and other community-based services.

Growing2gether is recruiting an innovative and entrepreneurial, Community Partnerships Officer, who is passionate about young people. This post is open to a creative approach; to stand beside young people whilst they assess the needs of their local community and design and deliver a community project. Growing2gether believes in the potential of young people to shape the world around them and achieve transformational change. Through the development and implementation of a participation strategy, this post will create a larger platform to ensure youth voice cannot be ignored. Specialist Support Worker

We are currently seeking to recruit Full & Part Time Mental Health Support Workers to join our team. 
The role of a Mental Health Support Worker is to provide holistic support to individuals living in Atchcournie to help them achieve their goals. Our support packages are designed to provide person centred support; whether it is learning a new skill, maintaining independence, becoming more involved in the community, accessing benefits, health eating choices, a shopping trip, or meaningful activities of their choosing.

Part time Support Worker

Mikeysline is a Highland based mental health awareness and suicide prevention charity established in 2015. We support both young people and adults through our evening text-based services and on a 1:1 basis at our appointment and drop-in centre at the Hive. In February 2021, we launched an additional pilot service to support young people who are experiencing emotional distress or mental health issues and we are now building on that to expand our outreach support into the Easter Ross area and work directly with schools, in some cases providing 1:1 support, in others, speaking and presenting to classes and pupil councils.

We are currently seeking to recruit Support Workers for our Care at Home Team in Nairnshire (Croy, Gollanfield, Tornagrain, Loch Flemington).

Specialist Support Worker

The Specialised Overnight Support Service is a unique and innovative service supporting the Care at Home Services within the Inverness area. This is a collaborative and unique partnership between three local and established care providers who are committed to its success.
We are looking for 1 full time or 2 part time members of staff to deliver a mobile specialised support service to our clients on a rotational basis at night.
You need to be able to show that you can work with dignity, respect and enthusiasm, and display problem solving skills and be compassionate to the Inverness community and our people within it.
You will be an experienced Support Worker and have experience of delivering personal care and support to vulnerable clients. A minimum of two years’ experience, specific to community care at home is desirable. An awareness of post hospital discharge.


Salary: £12.90 per hour

Relief Support Worker

Mikeysline is a mental health awareness, support and suicide prevention charity, formed in late 2015. We offer confidential, non-judgemental peer support and operate two core services, and an additional young person’s service for young people of secondary school age, as well as placing a high focus on preventative work. We are available for anyone who needs support with their mental health or is in emotional distress, as well as those in crisis. The Support worker will also be involved from time to time in other day-time activities where feasible to help promote Mikeysline, including attending meetings to raise awareness about our work. We hold a monthly team meeting, which support workers attend. The role requires working as part of a team to provide a safe, supportive and therapeutic environment for anyone experiencing a mental health crisis or contacting us for support, guidance and signposting at an early stage and ensuring an effective early intervention form of support is provided.


Salary: £10.20 per hour

Over the coming years, CALA will be building on our proud work to date and together we will work to ensure our values inform our Strategic Plan of working to ensure children and families are supported to meet their potential. There are specific areas of knowledge and experience we are particularly interested in inviting onto our Board, spanning finance, legal, governance and social justice. Board Members serve in a voluntary capacity.
