Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

January 18 through January 25, 2024, marks the annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, a time for us to join the prayer of Christ that “all may be one” ( John 17:21). This year’s theme is "You shall love the Lord your God... and your neighbor as yourself" (Luke 10:27). You can join Christians across denominations with this prayer. https://bit.ly/3TV2P81

Sunday of the Word of God

Pope Francis instituted the Sunday of the Word of God, celebrated this year on Sunday, January 21, 2024. It is an opportunity to consider how we engage with God’s Word individually and as a community. By listening attentively to the scripture readings and the homily, we open ourselves to inner transformation. Palms into Ashes

We will burn last year's palms to make ashes for Ash Wednesday. If you have palms from last year, bring them to Mass and put them in the basket at the back of both churches. We will need to have them by Sunday, February 4, so we can burn the palms the following week (Feb 11) after the 9:30am Mass at Assumption.

Let's celebrate Mass together!

St. Boniface and Assumption will have a joint celebration of Mass on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at the 9:30 am Mass at Assumption Church, 55 Cranberry Street, Brooklyn. What an opportunity for the two Oratory parishes to pray together, meet one another, and catch up at a coffee hour.

In observance of this, there will be no 11:15 am Mass at St. Boniface on this Sunday.

Volunteer Thank You!

We have so many folks who volunteer in so many ways at our Oratory parishes. It is a tremendous effort of selfless service and acts of love. In appreciation for all you do, please come to a gathering on Monday, February 12, at 6 pm in Assumption Hall. Who is invited? Anyone who has volunteered in the parishes in any capacity! Come for some food, refreshment, fellowship, and a double portion of gratitude! Please RSVP using this link: https://forms.gle/9Qx49MqaphgjpYq96.
