Big Event 2023: Gala Dinner Tickets Now Available

Thursday, April 27, Banquet Hall, Parish Evangelization Center


On the first night of The Big Event, Thursday, April 27, we will be holding a Gala and Live Auction in celebration of Fr. Francisco's 50th birthday. Tickets to attend the Gala are $150 per person, which includes dinner and admission to the Live and Silent Auction that evening.

Penance Service

 

During Lent, Saint William will offer Penance Services on the following days:

                March 29 - 7 pm - 9 pm

                 April 3     - 1 pm - 6 pm


Additional priests are coming in from other parishes to help provide the sacrament to everyone in attendance. View the Lent and Easter schedule >>

Sanctuary Cleaning Day

March 18, 9 am - 11 am


This parish community event offers an opportunity to build fellowship as volunteers come together to clean the statues, crosses, and icons in the sanctuary of the church. This event is also ideal for families, ministries and organizations to serve together. Sign up here >>

Mother-Daughter Retreat

March 25, 9 am - 1 pm (Parish Evangelization Center)


Mothers and their 13-16 years old daughters are invited to a Mother-Daughter Retreat. This is a wonderful opportunity to spend a morning together, sharing and pondering about the many beautiful ways God created you as a woman, and rejoicing at the wonderful plan He has for you to live a happy and fulfilling life. Godstock 2023

April 15, 9 am - 9 pm, Eagle's Wings Retreat Center, Burnet


The one-day music festival for high schoolers will feature live music by toLoveandRescue, Ali Hoffman, Taylor Schroll and Paul Finley and include talks, games, Mass, starlit adoration & a glowstick dance party.

Knights of Columbus Fish Fry

Fridays during Lent


The Knights of Columbus are hosting their annual Lenten Fish Fry on Fridays from 5 pm - 7:30 pm in the Pavilion as part of their service to the community. Cost per plate: $12.

Ashes to Action Food Drive

During Lent


The Knights are leading an Ashes to Action food drive to benefit the Society of St. Vincent De Paul. Food Donations may be delivered during the fish fry dinner on Fridays or dropped off in the designated bins in the narthex after Mass. View needed items >>

Morning Mass & Confessions on Fridays


Beginning in March, a 6:30 am Mass (in English) has been added on Fridays. Bilingual Confessions are scheduled from 7 am - 8 am following the Friday morning Mass. 

Forty Days for Life

March 25, between 7 am and 7 pm


Hundreds of cities around the world participate in praying to end abortion, offering help, hope and love to women and their families. The Saint William community is invited to participate in peaceful prayer throughout the day on Saturday, March 25, any time from 7 am to 7 pm at the Planned Parenthood clinic on Research at Burnet Road.


The 40 Days Spring Campaign runs now through Sunday, April 2 (Palm Sunday). centraltexascoalition.com

Ashes to Easter



Ashes to Easter is an annual Lenten mission project that affirms and encourages local missionary groups and other mission activities of the Diocese of Austin. Families are encouraged to take a box and drop in extra coins during Lent. Boxes may be returned to the parish during the first week of Easter

Children's Liturgy of the Word

during Mass at 9:30 am


Children’s Liturgy is an opportunity for young children who have not yet received their first Holy Communion to attend a liturgy that is designed for their developmental level. Verbally Guided Children's Adoration & A Quiet Family Adoration Hour, Repeat Monthly


Families are invited to a Verbally Guided Children’s Adoration, which repeats on the 2nd Wednesday of the month (at 5 pm starting in March) and A Quiet Family Adoration Hour on the 1st Friday of the month in the Sacred Heart Chapel. For additional details, please see the parish event calendar >>

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

June 12 - 16, 5:30 pm - 8 pm


VBS returns to Saint William this year, and it is going to be even bigger than before! VBS is one week of faith-based fun activities for children in grades Kinder through 5. It is also an opportunity for middle and high school students to volunteer and practice their leadership and service skills. This year, VBS will be offered concurrently in English and Spanish in the evenings to better accommodate families from our parish.

 

Pilgrimage to Italy with Fr. Francisco

November 13 - 26, 2023


Fr. Francisco will be leading a 14-day Pilgrimage to the Shrines of Italy next year. Registration forms are now available in the church office. For more information, view the Saint William website calendar or email: [email protected].

Cedarbrake Retreat

March 17-19


A Silent Lenten Retreat will be held March 17-19 at Cedarbrake Catholic Retreat Center in Temple. Come and listen to God inviting you into the desert of silence. Father Harry Dean and Brian Egan will each give a reflection. Mass, Eucharistic Adoration and the sacrament of reconciliation will be part of this silent retreat. Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary

March 25


In Fatima, Our Lady said, "My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the way that will lead you to God." Please join thousands of Faithful throughout our Diocese to collectively make or renew our “Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary” at a special Holy Mass on the Annunciation of the Lord. Rosary and Mass will be offered on Saturday, March 25th at 11:30 am at Saint Mary Cathedral (Austin), at 4:30 pm at Ascension Church (Bastrop), at 11:30 am at Saint Helen Church (Georgetown), and at 5:30pm at Saint Peter Catholic Student Center (Waco).
