Dear Trinity Episcopal Church,

Last weekend, I taught the History of the Episcopal Church to a group of students who are training to be deacons and priests. Every time I teach this course, I'm astounded at how faithful God has been to the Church. We have been through so much - wars, pandemics, political upheavals, conflict in the church itself - that sometimes it seems that the Church's mere continuing existence is a miracle.

I hope to pass along some of that wisdom to these students who will be leading churches by themselves one day. In the midst of congregational conflict or stress, pastors can feel those moments as existential crises. The good news is that God has been faithful, and I trust will remain faithful, to the Church.

As we prepare to celebrate Easter for the 184th time at Trinity Church, I invite you to give thanks for God's constancy and faith to this parish.

With peace,

Jimmy

Giving during Lent - United Thank Offering (UTO)

UTO materials available

in Church Narthex

UTO encourages people to develop a practice of gratitude and from that practice to make thank offerings for all the blessings they experience. 100% of these offerings are then given away the following year to support innovative mission and ministry projects around the globe. To find out more about the grant process about all the grants awarded since 1883 visit www.unitedthankoffering.com/granting.

Stop by the United Thank Offering (UTO) table in the Narthex and pick up your UTO box or envelope and calendars.

Let's all show our daily thanks and gratitude for all God's gifts and blessings given to us!

To make a thank offering, use the QR code.
