In conjunction with the three day Danville Heritage Festival, the 43rd Annual Fall Arts & Crafts Festival is a one-stop shopping extravaganza for Danville and the surrounding area. Over 125 vendors exhibit their fine arts and photography, handmade crafts and jewelry to upcycled wooden furniture, soaps and beauty items, toys, children's face-painting and activities, living history demonstrations, fashion accessories, and more...it's all together in one location!
So, you'll feel really good supporting the local economy while acquiring unique gifts for your family and friends! In addition to the arts and crafts, the Festival offers a wide selection of mouth-watering food and refreshments. It is also a great opportunity to explore the diverse downtown businesses on Mill Street!

The Danville Heritage Festival is a community celebration of all things Danville. This year’s festival will be in conjunction with the Fall Arts & Crafts Festival (Saturday, September 10) centered around Mill Street, with special events at other locations throughout the Danville community.
Enjoy living history presentations, historic tours of Danville, train rides, live music, vendors, great food, fireworks, hikes, 5K run/walk and much more!

1pm, 2pm, & 3pm Montgomery & Boyd House Museum Tours. Tour the home of Danville's founding family as well as a wealth of relics that relate to the history of the area. The Boyd House is also home to one of the best military collections in northeastern PA. More info below.

Living History Demonstrations in downtown Danville in conjunction with the Danville Business Alliance's Fall Arts & Crafts Festival on Mill Street.

10am, 12pm, and 2pm Clothes, Chores, and Toys Presentation, Kiddie Korner Boutique, 611 Mill Street. Everything about what children wear has changed since 1776, but so have their toys and chores. Presented by Jean Knouse, this 20-30 minute walk through children's history is designed for children, but will also interest adults. Admittance is limited to 18. Presentations at 10am, 12pm, and 2pm.

11am - 3pm Chicken Barbeque, Danville Middle School, 252 Northumberland Street. Hosted by and benefits Scouts BSA Troop 39.
1pm - 2pm Eel Dam River Walk w/ Van Wagner, F.Q. Hartman Recreation Area
400 W. Front Street. Join Van Wagner for a walk to the remnants of the eel dam in the North Branch Susquehanna River (river levels permitting). Meet at the FQ Hartman Recreation Area parking lot. Please bring your own life vest.
2pm - 3pm John Mazich Presentation, Thomas Beaver Free Library, 317 Ferry Street.
Join local historian John Mazich for a presentation of historic photos of the Danville area.
7pm - 8:30pm Danville Heritage Concert, Danville Area High School , 733 Ironmen Lane. Van Wagner and friends (DASD students and alumni) will take the stage to perform songs about the Danville region's history. Donations will be accepted to benefit the Danville High School FFA.
DARK - Fireworks, over the Susquehanna River.
Join us near the PA-54/Danville-Riverside Bridge for fireworks over the North Branch Susquehanna River.

Train Excursions
The North Shore Line
Experience a scenic train excursion in vintage passenger cars along the Old Canal Route and the Susquehanna River. Grab your ticket and climb aboard to enjoy the history and beauty of our region. A memorable ride the whole family will enjoy!
Three round trip excursions are available. Trains will run Saturday, September 10th, 2022 and all rides depart from the Danville Middle School - 11:00 a.m. (towards Bloomsburg); 1:30 p.m. (towards Northumberland); and 3:30 p.m. (towards Bloomsburg).
Each round trip is $15 per passenger and is non-refundable*. Lap children (ages 2 and under) are no charge. Act now, there are a limited number of tickets available!

Tickets will be held at the admission table on the day of the rides or they can be picked up prior to the event date at the Danville Business Alliance office at 620 Mill Street, Monday-Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. - must provide the last name under which you are registered. Tickets are also being sold at Scott's Floral, Danville, PA.

*Trains run snow, rain or shine. We reserve the right to substitute equipment or alter schedules as conditions may require, without notice to passengers. Capacity is limited to the equipment available. Trains depart on time, so you are encouraged to be aboard the train and seated in advance of scheduled departure time. We are offering a family oriented educational environment. Smoking is not permitted on the train. No alcoholic beverages or other intoxicants are permitted on the train or on railroad property at any time.

Dennis is a local painter who has had the desire to create art from a young age. A full-time truck driver, about two years ago he decided to study painting techniques in order to hone his craft. His paintings of local scenery that draw inspiration from impressionist painters such as Monet make us want to grab our supplies and create!
