Our Vision Friends and neighbors joyfully sharing and living the Gospel and the transforming love of Jesus Christ through our Parish Family

Our Mission To invite and welcome people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life to embrace and celebrate our vocations.  "To be Christ to the world.”

Sing praise to the LORD with the harp,

with the harp and melodious song.

With trumpets and the sound of the horn

sing joyfully before the King, the LORD.

~Psalm 98

From Our Pastor

Dear Parishioners and Friends,

Congratulations to our second graders and young students who made their Sacrament of First Reconciliation this past week!  I am grateful to our Faith Formation Staff, especially Anna Steele and Christine Bondi, and our kind and generous catechists and parents who helped make this preparation process a joyful one.  We will be getting ready for First Holy Eucharist in the Spring.

Next weekend, on November 23rd, we celebrate the Feast of Christ The King, the namesake of our church.  This will mark the end of the church Liturgical year.  The First Sunday of Advent follows, and so we’ll again be giving out "Little Blue Books" with daily Advent reflections.

Our Catholic Ministry Appeal donations continue to grow.  I am so grateful to all who have been so generous in giving to our annual CMA campaign.

Support of our local food pantry (and now the Giving Tree) continues from the generous donations of parishioners. Thank you!

May God bless you!

Fr. Gonyo

Parish Happenings

During the weekend of Nov. 15-16, Bishop Salvatore R. Matano is inviting Catholics of the Diocese of Rochester to join a letter-writing campaign urging Gov. Kathy Hochul to veto legislation that would legalize physician-assisted suicide in New York.

“The rejection of physician-assisted suicide is not solely a Catholic position; rather it is a human rights imperative,” Bishop Matano said in an email to the Catholic Courier. “I ask the faithful, and all people of good will, to write to Governor Hochul and strongly urge her to veto this bill which would legalize physician-assisted suicide in our State of New York.”

The letter also is available at liferoc.org.
