The Chase McDaniel "Chase the Victory" Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of Carrollton High School student Chase McDaniel, who passed away on Nov. 16, 2019, during his senior year after a long battle with cancer. This year’s recipients are Jordyne Berry, Jaycie Hand (finalists) and Cam McLendon (overall winner). The scholarship award was presented at the first CCS Education Foundation scholarship breakfast on April 19 at City Station in Carrollton. Thirty-three CHS seniors receive CCS Education Foundation scholarships
The Carrollton City Schools Education Foundation celebrated its 2022 scholarship awards at its first scholarship breakfast on April 19 at City Station. Approximately 150 students, parents, and donors gathered to recognize 33 students who received awards.

CHS senior awarded AJC Cup
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Cup is awarded to an outstanding Carrollton High School senior who has demonstrated leadership ability, good attitude, citizenship and high levels of achievement throughout school and community activities. This year Jeb Jackson was presented this top honor at the 36th annual Academic Achievement Awards Program held April 21 at the Joshua Mabry Center for the Arts. He is pictured with CHS Principal Ian Lyle. 
Sister Act JR. at CJHS
Based on the hit 1992 film and Tony-nominated Broadway musical, Sister Act JR. is a feel-good musical comedy. Performing arts students at Carrollton Junior High showcased their version earlier this week.
Hands-on learning helps students retain at CUES
Mrs. Wright's fifth grade students have been learning about coordinate grids and ordered pairs. To make learning a little more fun, the students played a giant version of Battleship. Students took turns calling out coordinates and plotting points in order to help their teams sink ships!
Traffic on the Carrollton City Schools campus will be heavier than usual Saturday, April 23, due to different events, including the Carrollton High School prom. 
Weekend events call for parking pivot
Due to multiple events on the Carrollton City Schools campus and special Carrollton High School prom activities, the following changes will affect parking and traffic on campus on Saturday, April 23.

  • The CHS prom is being held Saturday, April 23, from 7:30-11 p.m. — there will be an increase in traffic during this time.
  • Parking at the CHS tennis courts and behind the visitor stands at Grisham Stadium will be closed ALL DAY on April 23.
  • Because of prom activities, Ben Scott Boulevard (between Grisham Stadium and the tennis courts) will be CLOSED from 8:50-9:30 p.m. on April 23.
  • The senior walk will be at 10 p.m. in Grisham Stadium. Parking for spectators will be available after 9:30 p.m. at the Pope-McGinnis Student Activity Center and the tennis courts parking lot.
  • Student parking for prom will be available at the Mabry Arts Center parking lot.
