CUNY Callouts

Devika Gurung, CUNY School of Law 25, is a staunch advocate for educational equity and access. Her passion stemmed from the educational disparities she experienced within her own family in New York and in Nepal. Having taught in elementary schools for seven years, Devika wants to pair what she learned in the classroom with a deeper understanding of the legal framework that underscores the entire system.

Devika’s Advice: “Go beyond the academic texts and discussions and develop an understanding of the issues that matter to you through your community.”
