Creative Connections Interview: Kiranjot Kaur

Kiranjot Kaur is a multi-disciplinary artist, author and engineer, who has exhibited and taught at Place des Arts. She was one of the artists that taught in-person workshops through our Creative Hearts program to help newcomers engage in the arts. To expand the reach of this program, she recorded the workshop in three languages (available to view on our YouTube Channel).

In 2021, Kiranjot exhibited her solo exhibition Sovereign Elevations with us, which presented dastaars as portraits, as each reflected their wearer’s individual style and identity. In 2022, she also exhibited in our annual miniature exhibition, Positively Petite

As a visual artist, Kiranjot has explored a multitude of techniques and celebrates her Panjabi, Sikh and Canadian heritages. Kiranjot is also the author and illustrator of the children’s picture book, Sangeet and the Missing Beat.
