Family First: Mythological Beast Bookbinding Workshop
Sunday, September 13
2–4 p.m.
$15, $10 Museum Members
Classical mythology includes a range of beasts combining different animals-a griffin, for example, blends the body of a lion with the head and wings of an eagle. Learn bookbinding techniques to create your own bestiary of interchangeable animals and monsters. Each page turn offers a unique animal creation. Kits will be available for completing this project at home.

Family First workshops will take place outdoors in front of the Museum, with enrollment limited to six families. In the event of inclement weather, kits will be available for pick up on-site. If the Museum is open, we will include time for you to visit on your own; otherwise we will provide a family pass for a later visit. For some workshops, there is the option to pick up materials and complete the activity at home, with instructions provided through written or video instructions. Please note that we are following social distancing guidelines and requiring anyone over the age of 11 to wear a face covering
