October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

And while awareness matters, we also believe in supporting the women living the journey—during treatment, through recovery, and in the years that follow.

That’s why this November, Sarah Primeau and Elisa May are creating a special afternoon at Southern Om.

Shine On: A Retreat for Breast Cancer is for women whose lives have been touched by breast cancer, whether their diagnosis is recent or years behind them.

Through mindfulness, supportive movement inspired by yoga and Pilates, education, and practical tools, this retreat offers space to reconnect with your body, build resilience, and nurture hope, joy, and well-being.

Sunday, November 8 | 1–3 PM

West End Studio | $70

All levels welcome.

And perhaps most importantly:

You may know someone who needs this. 💗

If this isn't your journey, consider forwarding this email to a woman whose journey it is.

Meet Your Hosts

Sarah brings over 20 years of experience in wellness education, coaching, and movement. With a bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion, she helps people build body awareness and support their physical and emotional well-being.

A breast cancer survivor since 2018, Sarah combines personal understanding with Pilates experience in cancer rehabilitation. Through breathwork, mindful movement, strength, and mobility, she encourages confidence, self-compassion, and resilience.

“My goal is to help people reconnect with themselves, listen to their bodies, and move forward with confidence, compassion, and hope.”

A former collegiate runner and elite triathlete, Sarah helps participants take manageable steps toward greater well-being and continue doing what matters most to them.

Elisa brings over 20 years of experience as a Massage Therapist and Physical Therapist Assistant. She earned a Health Coaching Certificate from Duke University in 2021 and is now

a Nationally Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach.

With a strong background in sports and orthopedics, Elisa spent six seasons as massage therapist for Greenville’s ECHL hockey team and continues to support professional cyclists and recreational athletes. After her own breast cancer diagnosis in 2013, she became a

Certified Lymphedema Therapist. She now works at Prisma Health’s Cancer Center, primarily with breast cancer patients, and offers lymphedema care in her private practice.

“Whether it’s an injury, repetitive stress, or a health crisis, I love helping people

feel better and find solutions that allow them to continue doing what they love.”

Elisa is passionate about making exercise simple and fun for anyone, because the best routine

is the one people actually enjoy and stick with. Outside of work, she enjoys mountain biking, time with family and friends, and adventures with her dog Martin.

This month is also a good reminder for all of us that caring for our health includes making space for rest and recovery. Your yoga practice can be part of that care.

A Yin class, for example, offers an opportunity to slow down, breathe, release tension, and intentionally step away from the demands of everyday life.

See you in the studio!

Pace and The SO Team

Pink is having a moment. 💗

And we’re fully committed.

Head-to-toe lululemon has landed at Southern Om, and this matching set might be our favorite way to bring a little extra color into the hot room.

Come see it in person before your next class—because somehow a matching set makes showing up for yoga just a little more fun. 😉
