Colorado Remembers

Save the date – this year’s annual Colorado Remembers event is extra special as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Colorado Freedom Memorial. Activities begin at 8 a.m. This year’s ceremony and tribute will feature the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard and Drill Team from Washington, D.C., along with the Sound of the Rockies Men’s Chorus. Help Design Art in Public Places Master Plan
Through May 31
Share your ideas and help determine future sites for public art, types of artworks and how public art makes Aurora a great place to live, work and play by answering a brief 5-minute survey, either online or at Aurora Public Library branches. The survey results will be used to design a master plan that meets the community’s needs.

Aurora Ready Community Preparedness Class

Are you ready for an emergency or disaster? Come build your preparedness skills so you can be more resilient. You will learn how to build an emergency kit, develop a plan, and get other great preparedness tips. Registration is required and is on a first-come, first-served basis, up to 25 people. People under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Want to learn about Homeowners Associations (HOAs) and how they work?
Existing HOA board members or those interested in joining an HOA in the future are invited to join the city of Aurora and Moeller Graf Community Association Law for an HOA 101 series. The 3-day series will cover HOA types of communities, governing documents, roles and responsibilities, association meetings and much more! The series aims to develop and educate neighborhood leaders to help build strong neighborhood connections in Aurora. Space is limited; the series can only accommodate up to 50 people per class, so RSVP today at engagecec@auroragov.org.

Global Youth Leaders Summer Programs 2023

“The Great Outdoors of Aurora” Exhibit

The Aurora History Museum and Historic Sites presents the new exhibit “The Great Outdoors of Aurora,” which celebrates Aurora’s vibrant outdoor opportunities and dives deep into the history behind the activities residents and visitors love to do in the city. Discover the stories behind reservoirs, city parks, nature centers, the High Line Canal, swimming pools, golf courses and more, all within Aurora. The exhibit also will feature historic recreational equipment, hands-on activities, archival photography and immersive elements that will engage and excite visitors of all ages. Admission to the Aurora History Museum is always free.
