The 2026 Journey to Medicine was undoubtedly a resounding success. The students arrived with thought-provoking questions that ignited engaging discussions among the panelists. Additionally, meaningful connections were established, further inspiring students to pursue careers in healthcare with the requisite support.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our moderator, Dr. Katey Hughes, a faculty member of the AHEC Scholars Program and a board member of Three Rivers AHEC, as well as to our exceptional panelists. A special thanks goes to our distinguished preceptor, Dr. Edward W. Hamilton Jr., for sharing his invaluable insights gained from over 20 years of experience in the health profession. We eagerly anticipate seeing everyone at our next panel discussion!
