Our AHEC Scholars and PCOM Anchor members started off National AHEC Week by assisting colorectal screenings with community partner, West Central Georgia Cancer Coalition. We are delighted to welcome health professions students eager to participate in experiential training within our service region for further enhance our recruit, train and retain programs. We extend a special thank you to the West Central Georgia Cancer Coalition for offering our students a month-long opportunity to conduct colorectal screenings for patients in the community!  

Since 1994, we have served 28 counties in west central Georgia from our headquarters in Columbus and our efforts place special emphasis on rural and underserved areas.
