Learn to tango, speak Italian or play the banjo.
Go to Montenegro or Adelaide, first class.
It's a New Year.
Promise is on the horizon.

Special Note
January has gotten off to an incredibly cold and snowy start. Our phones have been ringing off the hook with calls for service and deliveries. Please know that we are making every effort to make sure our customers are warm and safe. We know that it has been difficult to get through the last few days we had over 900 calls
on Wednesday
alone - but all our trucks and service personnel are out working nearly around the clock. We appreciate your patience as we all deal with this bitter cold spell.

New Year New Ideas...
When I first saw this photo, my reaction was that a designer or architect was being unnecessary clever. But after studying it, I realized it is an eminently practical solution to a problem.
The problem being an extremely steep rise/run ratio for the location of the stairs. The distance from the front step to the hallway behind is short, the vertical distance to be traversed high. The choices would be extremely tall steps, extremely narrow steps, or perhaps a ladder/spiral staircase/other design

If you normally fly south for the winter - but you've decided to stay at home this year, please let us know. We calculate your fuel usage based on the temperature and on previous year's use (it's called your 'K' factor). So we want to make sure that we adjust your deliveries to assure that you will always have a warm house.
Do you have new baby - or a baby returning to the nest after college? Have you added a pellet stove or a room addition? All of those things can increase your usage and change how often we need to deliver.
Baby It's Cold - And Snowy - Outside
Help! you can be a huge help to our drivers if you make sure that your driveway (at least 10' wide) is plowed and sanded. Backing up those big oil trucks is a huge task, made easier with a bit of help from you.

Additionally be sure to clear a path to the fill pipe and dig out the propane tank. If you have a buried propane tank clear the tank dome and mark the location with a tall stick. It's a long winter for our drivers, deliveries can be tricky and most assuredly difficult. Your help is very much appreciated.

Your author has done laundry on his own since the mid-'50s.
NEVER paid a bit of attention to the various laundry symbols attached to the clothes. Which may explain why he looks as shabby as he does. So we've done the research and now - just so you can start the New Year off with whiter whites...(who knew?) - Laundry Symbols Explained. Who knew?

If you are home this month...keep an eye out for the postman. When you see him - or her - bring out a cup of hot coffee or cocoa. "Cause, baby it's cold outside.
It will shock them senseless and it will make you both feel great.
