April Energy Legislation

April 20 - H.R. 2759: Strategic Petroleum Reserve Transparency Act

Introduced by Rep. Bill Huizenga [R-MI4], this bill would establish a special notice requirement for certain drawdowns or sales from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.


April 20 - H.R. 2749: Efficient Grid Interconnection Act of 2023

Introduced by Rep. Kathy Castor [D-FL14], this bill would facilitate the generation and delivery of power from affordable and reliable renewable generation projects and energy storage projects.


April 20 - H.R. 2751: Community Solar Consumer Choice Act of 2023

Introduced by Rep. Kathy Castor [D-FL14], this bill would require the Secretary of ENergy to establish a program to increase participation in community solar programs and the receipt of associated benefits, and for other purposes.


April 20 - H.R. 2750: Enhancing Electric Grid Resilience Act

Introduced by Rep. Kathy Castor [D-FL14], this bill would amend the Federal Power Act to authorize the allocation of the costs of certain interstate electric power transmission lines and electric power transmission lines that are located offshore, and for other purposes.


April 20 - H.R. 2747: Sustainable Aviation Fuel Act

Introduced by Rep. Julia Brownley [D-CA26], this bill would support the sustainable aviation fuel market, and for other purposes.

April 19 - H.R. 2703: Green Energy for Federal Buildings Act

Introduced by Rep. Julia Brownley [D-CA26], this bill would amend the Energy Policy Act of 2005 to update the Federal purchase requirement to ensure the use of 100% renewable energy by 2050, and for other purposes.


April 18 - H.R. 2685: Mining Schools Act of 2023

Introduced by Rep. Clarence Owens [R-UT4], this bill would require the Secretary of Energy to provide technology grants to strengthen domestic mining education, and for other purposes.



April 6 - H.R. 2487: To direct the Administrator of the EPA to consider nuclear power to be a green source of energy, and for other purposes

Introduced by Rep. Byron Donalds [R-FL19], this bill would  direct the Administrator of the EPA to consider nuclear power to be a green source of energy, and for other purposes.


April 3 - H.R. 2462: Protect American Energy from China Act

Introduced by Rep. Byron Donalds [R-FL19], this bill would prohibit the use of Federal funds for implementing or administering any provision of the meorandum of understanding reached between the Secretary of Energy and the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
