The ADR Section held a productive virtual Winter Meeting on February 10th, where our Chair, Natalie Paskiewicz, welcomed members and introduced our new Florida Bar administrator, Carly Hopkins. The Council reviewed updates on law school membership, mentorship opportunities, and ongoing committee reorganization.

Each committee reported steady progress, including developments in arbitration programming, a strong CLE schedule, active outreach across the state, continued growth in sponsorships, and consistent communication efforts. The Section is well-positioned for a busy spring with upcoming CLEs, forums, mixers, and collaborative initiatives that continue to strengthen our statewide community.

The ADR Section’s Third Arbitration Institute is a one-day workshop for attorney-arbitrators designed to answer the question, “How Can I Improve My Arbitration Skills?” The Arbitration Advocacy Institute brings together established arbitrators and practitioners to impart knowledge, best practices, and other tips to help attorney-arbitrators understand the mechanics of arbitration in Florida and sharpen their skills to become more effective and efficient arbitrators.

The section’s committees and chairs/co-chairs are listed below. Appointments are for the Florida Bar term from July 1 to June 30, and committee preference forms may be submitted anytime. The Executive Council leadership decides annually whether and to what extent to reimburse expenses associated with service on the Executive Council.
