Museum Makery: Wooden Figure Vessels with Venta Chugh
Saturday, November 4 | 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Paint wooden vessels designed by Cranbrook Academy of Art 3D graduate Vineta Chugh, in the graphic style of Alexander Girard. Each participant will receive a six-inch hand-turned wooden vase to take home after embellishing with colorful geometric shapes and patterns.

This fall, the Center will exhibit a series of paintings created by Cranbrook Academy of Art alumnus, Jason Carter (2011), for the interior of Saarinen House. Carter's works will ask the visitor to consider the effect of different forms of light in the house.

The Keys of Cranbrook: A Dueling Piano Concert  ArtintheElements

Pierre Fracalanza's dancing fingers will delight guests with a selection of songs on the Cranbrook House 1929 Steinway piano accompanied by a Steinway SPIRIO player piano.  The concert will take the audience on a musical timeline through the history of Cranbrook.

Living Legacy Series LivingLegacy

Join President Dominic DiMarco for the 5th annual presentation of the Living Legacy Series. This is a special occasion to thank our Legacy Society members, as well as those who are committed supporters of Cranbrook, and to learn more about leadership in all of our Program Areas. This year's event will take place at Thornlea House, the former home of Henry S. Booth. A tour of the home will be provided following the presentation.
