Virtual NJCTS Tim Howard Leadership Academy Starts Tomorrow
Regardless of where participants are in with their comfort of self-advocacy and understanding and accepting their diagnoses, the Academy has something to offer everyone in advancing to the next level with confidence, understanding, and resilience. In addition to our clinicians and mentors, this year’s Virtual NJCTS Tim Howard Leadership Academy, on August 6 and 7, will feature amazing special guests and performers who have all lived with Tourette Syndrome, including Tim Howard, Pamela Rae Schuller and Chad Juros.

Family Support Group: How Can DVRS Work for You?

The New Jersey Division of Vocational and Rehabilitation Services (DVRS) provides the services individuals with physical, mental, cognitive or other forms of disabilities require for identifying and securing employment that fits their strengths, priorities, needs, and capabilities. In this important session, you will learn about the types of services available for adults and teens, find out who is eligible, the process involved, and the benefits of using DVRS, and more. Understanding how DVRS can work for you can lead to successful employment outcomes.

Wednesday Webinar: Trauma Informed Classroom

During this presentation, we will recognize the prevalence and realize the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) so that we can respond in a trauma-informed way and resist re-traumatization. We will explore the way that trauma can shape learning and behavior while also discussing strategies for mitigating the potential impact.
