Safety First Reminders
Locker Room Showers
During the Summer Youth Day Camp from August 3 to 7, showers will be available only from 6 AM to 10 AM. Regular shower hours, 6 AM to 2 PM, will resume on Monday, August 10. Thank you for your understanding!
Stay Hydrated
Stay energized and healthy this summer with these easy tips to avoid dehydration and heat-related illnesses:
- Hydrate often—especially during outdoor fun in the sun!
- Be mindful to drink more than you sweat.
- Plan your outdoor adventures for early morning or late afternoon to beat the heat.
- Don’t forget a refreshing sports drink now and then to keep your electrolyte balance just right.
Stay safe and enjoy every moment outside!
Dessert & Snack Reminder
We're so excited that many of you enjoy sharing delicious desserts and snacks at our community events! To ensure everyone has a wonderful experience, it's essential to keep in mind that some of our friends may have food allergies of which you may not be aware. We kindly ask you to label all ingredients clearly when bringing food to our gatherings—especially items containing peanuts or other nuts —so everyone’s safety is ensured.
Also, just a friendly reminder: food can be enjoyed in the cozy second-floor café, while the lobby is a lovely place to enjoy coffee, tea, and water. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in creating a safe, pleasant environment for all. We truly appreciate you!
Reminder: Please Scan In/Out with Copilot!
Thank you so much for being an engaged member of our wonderful community! We’d like to gently remind you to scan in and out during your visits. This simple act plays a crucial role in our "layers of protection," ensuring we know who’s in the building during emergencies.
When you arrive, please check in at the front desk with CoPilot and, if applicable, Silver Sneakers. Don't forget to select the right tiles for insurance, lunch, programs, and more!
Your cooperation not only helps us serve you better but also ensures everyone's safety—together, we’re creating a secure and supportive environment!

Daily Lunch for Older Adult Members! 🍽️
We are genuinely excited to invite our amazing older adult members to enjoy a complimentary lunch every Monday through Friday at noon! Although the meal is free, a suggested donation of $2 per meal is greatly appreciated. This small contribution helps us continue providing this wonderful service and ensures we can keep serving delicious meals.
To ensure we can accommodate everyone, please reserve your spot by 11 AM at least 2 business days in advance at the Copilot computer in the lobby.
If you happen to miss the reservation deadline, don’t fret! We invite you to add your name to the waitlist at the front desk, and we’ll make every effort to seat you. However, please understand that we can’t guarantee a meal for those on the waitlist, and we truly appreciate your understanding.
As you join us for lunch, please remember that the Sarah Heinz House Code of Conduct applies at all times in our Café and throughout the building. We ask that everyone treat our dedicated staff and volunteer lunch attendants with kindness and respect, as we want to maintain a welcoming environment for all. Thank you for your support and for helping make our community a fantastic place to gather!
If you need to cancel your reservation or arrive late, just give us a quick call at (412) 231-2377 and Select Option 0. Thank you for your cooperation and consideration!
We can’t wait to see you soon and share a lovely meal together!

Parking at the House
Effective June 8th, to enhance your experience as our valued Adult Members, we invite you to use the lower parking lot, conveniently located directly in front of the building, exclusively.
To accommodate the large increase in employees during the summer months, we’ve asked staff to park in the upper lot and at an alternate off-site location. This change will help ensure that premium parking spaces remain available for you.
As a reminder, please drive carefully when entering and exiting the parking lot, as children and families may be arriving or departing for summer camp programming.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation!
