This Month in the Lewis-Clark Valley

rockyRocky Recommends . . .

Need a little inspiration for your vacation?  Follow Rocky the Roaming Bighorn Sheep as he roams around the Lewis-Clark Valley to explore everything we have to offer!  From exciting jet boat tours and fishing to wine tasting and golfing and tons more!

This month Rocky recommends that you engage yourself in an appreciation of culture, history, and the arts by visiting the LCSC Center for Arts & History in beautiful downtown Lewiston.

See below:

cahLCSC Center for Arts & History

The Lewis-Clark State College Center for Arts & History is located in the heart of historic downtown Lewiston, Idaho. The 12,000 square foot building was built in 1884 as the Vollmer Great Bargain Store and is on the National Register of Historic Places.

The vision of The Center for Arts & History, a program of LCSC Community Programs, is to provide for all citizens of the region a common ground for the integration of all art. The Center offers the opportunity for increased understanding of and participation in the arts. We present our region's history with respect and clarity, maintaining goals of artistic excellence, and accessibility for all. Since 1991 we have worked within the scope of our mission and vision to promote community exposure to; involvement in; and understanding of; Performing, Literary, and Visual Arts and area History.

mtMt. Misery Relay Race

America's Premier 57 Mile "Interval" Team Relay and Solo

Asotin Creek Park, Asotin WA to River Park, Troy OR

Saturday, July 5, 2014, 8:00 a.m.

Before the race!

An Interval Relay Race is a team event where runners choose to run distances of personal choice, instead of the standard method of running designated legs between exchange points.  Runners may exchange the baton at any time, or any order, running as short, or as long a distance as you may desire.

After the race!

This makes for more team participation, with strategies like putting fast runners on the flats, strong runners on the hills, and sprinters near the finish.
