Open Enrollment Season is coming..

As Summer comes to an end, we here at Total Benefit Solutions are gearing up for one of Our busiest times of the year: Fall . Open Enrollment applies to Medicare clients and Individual Clients (through the Marketplace); However both have different start and end dates. Check out the information below to see when you should apply for January 1st, 2019 coverage!

*Employer policies have start dates throughout the year. One of our dedicated account managers will contact you when it's time for your renewal to be discussed!
**Some people may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.
Open Enrollment Dates through the Health Exchange for 2019 have been announced!
Starting November 1st, you can choose and apply for your 2019 policy through the Health Exchange. Open Enrollment runs only through December 15th, 2018 so it's important to make sure you give yourself enough time to review your options and choose a policy you feel certain about. The sooner you get your applications in, the easier the transition to your new policy will be!

Information on the policies available in your area will be released shortly. We will keep everyone updated once we receive them. Until then, if you have any questions, please let us know!
Medicare Open Enrollment

The  Open Enrollment Period runs from October 15th to December 7th. Coverage will start January 1st 2019.

During this time:
  • Anyone with Parts A & B can switch to Part C.
  • Anyone with Part C can switch back to Parts A & B.
  • Anyone who has or is signing up for Medicare Parts A or B can join, drop or switch Part D
  • Anyone with Medicare Part C can switch to a new Part C plan.

*If you are new to Medicare or had a life event, you may qualify for different enrollment periods.
Important Group Enrollment Notice
Recently we have had a number of enrollment requests denied by insurers. Please remember that in most cases the carriers only give us a 30 day window to make enrollment changes. Exceptions can only be granted by the carriers and are getting harder to obtain due to stricter enforcement of the enrollment guidelines.

Please submit your requests as soon as possible. If you aren't sure how to handle a transition, just ask!
