Miles Hoffman has been named one of the most outstanding violists of our times with over 30 years experience. Appearing frequently in recital and as soloist with orchestras throughout the United States, he has earned glowing reviews in repertoire ranging from the baroque to the contemporary.

The Milliken Gallery closes out its 17-18 season with its juried student show featuring our own Converse students. Previous exhibitions included such diverse media as printmaking, photography, sculpture, painting, drawing and ceramics.  A reception will be held on March 22 at 6:30 p.m. in the gallery with an awards presentation at 7:00 p.m.

The Converse College Creative Writing Program will host critically-acclaimed fiction writer Margaret Luongo, who will  do a reading from her work. Luongo is the author of two story collections,  If the Heart is Lean and  History of Art. Her stories have appeared in  Tin House, The Cincinnati Review, Granta.com, the Pushcart Prize anthology and other publications.  A reception will take place before the reading, at 7:30 p.m., in Wilson Lobby.
