This can be an anxiety-ridden time for many. The leaves are falling, the flowers are dying, the days are growing shorter, there’s a chill in the air, and darkness abounds. Martin Luther King Jr’s words from 1963 still resonate today: Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. We are here to be each other’s light through the darkness. In this season of Thanksgiving, we wish you an abundance of light. Thank you for being the connection that sparks all that we do. Your support keeps us going. | | |

Ingrid Fiallos shares why she volunteers with EcoAction Arlington.
I decided to volunteer for EcoAction Arlington as a genuine desire to care for the environment and make use of my leadership skills, learn more about environmental issues, reduce pollution, foster social connections, and give back to my community. Through activities such as storm drain marking, accompanying the art truck to raise awareness through art, and participating in the Earth Month cleanup, I found my experience to be incredibly rewarding, especially witnessing the strong turnout of others supporting these initiatives.
I believe it’s essential to continue advocating for greater participation in this vital cause. Our reliance on natural resources is fundamental to the goods and services that contribute to our health, happiness, and prosperity. The natural environment underpins our economy, our society, and our very own existence.
EcoAction Arlington thanks Ingrid for her volunteer work and dedication to spreading our mission.
If you would like to join Ingrid in volunteering with us, visit our website for more information.
