"Train children how to live right, and when they are old, they will not change." Proverbs 22:6
Elementary students celebrated their love of reading on Wednesday by dressing as their favorite character from their favorite book.

Parading into the gym, they joined their SALT partners to share their favorite stories and read together. But unbeknownst to the elementary students, a special surprise awaited – a visit from the Magic School Bus!
They climbed aboard the bus and joined “Ms. Frizzle” for an exciting new adventure.

Thank you to all parents, faculty, and staff for helping us celebrate reading!
Join us for:
  • Elementary chapel on Nov 5 at 8:30am to hear Pastor Slye speak.
  • Veterans Day Chapel on Nov 11 at 9am in the gym.

1 Timothy 4:12

Parents: Remember that as it gets colder, secondary students must wear ONLY Bracken approved items in the classrooms and buildings.

Reminder:
  • Wear your green "BRACKEN SERVES" shirts on Wednesday, Nov 6, for Service Day from 9am to noon.
  • Prospective dual credit students have a lunch meeting with Mrs. Korkosz on Thursday, Nov 7.

Parent Teacher Association
Hello Bracken Families,
My name is Christa East, and I am the head of the Planning Committee that is setting up a Parent Teacher Association (PTA) here at Bracken. We will be hosting our organizational meeting this Monday night, November 4th at 6:30 on campus in the library. This meeting will be the time when we vote on our Bylaws and elect our initial executive board. PTA requires a minimum membership of 20 people, and everyone must pay a yearly due of 10 dollars which will be collected (cash only please) at the meeting. I will need approximately 10 people at the meeting to participate in temporary positions (the duration of the meeting only) to help run the meeting.
If you are interested in attending, please email me at [email protected] so that I may have a rough head count beforehand. If you are interested in running for a board position, please email that to me as well. We will be required to vote on the positions of President, VP, Secretary and Treasurer and it is recommended that I insert names ahead of time.
Thank you,
Christa East
